The way things are
Click on anywhere in the picture and keeping the
mouse button pressed down drag the pointer around to spin around and change
your view.

If you want to zoom in on a particular detail let go
of the mouse button and press shift.
To pan back and take in a larger scene simply press the
ctrl button.
